As many within our Zone are aware, we had three of our junior bowlers’ in the State Junior Silver Squad, namely Lewis Williams and Luke Agar of Tuncurry Beach and Jake Reid of Pacific Palms.
It has now been announced, following the recent Junior Inter Zone Championship at West Dubbo, that we have another junior selected into the State Silver Squad to join the boys – Sophie Hawkins of Harrington BC.
The Zone Junior Committee is very proud of the fact that four of our eight juniors, who have been involved in various fixtures, etc., during 2016, have been considered by the State Junior Selectors to be selected in the Silver Squad.
On a per capita basis, this is great news, not only for the guys, their parents, their Clubs but also for the Zone. It is a just reward for their practise, concentration and showing competitiveness at a higher level. WELL DONE GUYS, the Zone congratulates you.
